I normally collect toilet paper rolls when children are about. They develop into really handy when they get bored. Last summer, I was playing with my nephews and we decided to create binoculars together. Ours was a pretty basic one. We taped two toilet rolls together and to hide the tape applied a blue ribbon in the middle.
They actually enjoyed it! Especially the younger 1. He was surprised to see rolls turning into binoculars. They had been too impatient to see the finish product, so ours turned out to be a very basic 1. You may improvise and make fancier binoculars by working with added crafting supplies.
